2013-07-17Toni Sario has announced his sporting structure for his first season as Sporting Director of Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto. Fifteen people will be key to the success or failure of this project, aimed at developing Asobal-level players in the medium term, without forgetting the recreational aspect and promotion of sporting activity that have always guided BM Puerto Sagunto.
The structure put together by Sario begins with a Technical-Physical Coordination team made up of four coaches with established training and prestige. On the technical side, two Level III national coaches who need no introduction, Juan Carlos Núñez and Pedro Conde, veteran coaches from the club who will apply their knowledge to the specific improvement of our young talents. From a physical-preparation perspective, another illustrious figure in local handball returns to the club, Antonio Martínez López who, together with his brother Rubén Martínez, both graduates in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, will be responsible for bringing our young players’ fitness in line with the demands of handball.
Antonio Sario has delegated responsibility for School Sport Coordination to Carlos Núñez Soler, who, as well as being a former player and school coach, served as a team delegate during the past season.
As for the eight registered teams that Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto will field, a combination of experience and youth, with current coaches and new faces at the club, make up the various teams. The Second National Senior team will be led by Tiri Aguiar, with his former first-team coach serving as assistant, Pedro Conde. José Manuel Tomás will continue to manage the regional senior team, accompanied by José María Sánchez Gabaldon.
The Under-18 first regional team will see the category debut of the coach who has taken the youth sides to two consecutive sectors, David Núñez, while the second Under-18 team will be led by the duo consisting of José Vicente Juan, who is joining the club for the first time, and Manolo Gómez Gándara, a club man with many years’ experience in coaching roles.
The club will form three Under-16 teams this season: the Performance Under-16 team, managed by Toni Sario, the Under-16 B team, led by Lluís García and the Under-16 C team, managed by Chovi Tomás in his debut in the category.
Finally, the two Under-14 teams will have coaches making their debuts, but with extensive experience working with the Under-12 age group. Under-14 A will be managed by Jandro Pérez Medina and B by Jorge Martin.
With these appointments, only the coaches for the school groups remain to be confirmed, under Sario himself and the new School Coordinator, Carlos Núñez.
