Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto lost their second pre-season match to Servigroup Benidorm (27–26). The Benidorm side, newly promoted to the Silver Honour Division and managed by former red-and-white player Fernando Latorre, overturned the 11–16 scoreline at half-time, and a 4–0 spell in the opening minutes of the second half was enough to level the match and keep it that way, thanks to a superb performance from Cuban goalkeeper Rey Enrique.
