Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto drew 24–24 against GlobalCaja Ciudad Encantada, a team seeking a win to secure participation in the Copa ASOBAL. Fertiberia began the match determined to take both points and round off a dream first half of the season. The opening minutes were evenly contested, with the red-and-white attack directed by Latorre, who distributed assists to his team-mates and gave his side the lead at 5–4 after 15 minutes. From the 20th minute onwards, the Cuenca side moved ahead by exploiting gaps in the red-and-white defence and benefiting from a good performance by their goalkeeper Moyano. The final five minutes were an intense exchange of blows, and after a timeout the red-and-whites reduced the deficit and forced Federico’s suspension, going into half-time two goals behind at 9–11 but with a numerical advantage at the start of the second half.
