Alser Puerto Sagunto lost to Reale Ademar León 36–26, as the latter secured their fourth league victory without difficulty, in a match that the León side settled in the first half. The match began evenly, at a fast pace and with numerous exchanges of goals. In the 10th minute the score was 6–6, the red-and-whites were finding gaps in the home defence, so Cadenas called the first time-out of the match to slow the pace. Despite Alser’s good start, from the 15th minute Ademar’s solid defence halted the Valencians’ attacking intentions, and they finished their moves with fast attacks to produce a 6–1 run. The Valencian side could not find a way to score thanks to the León team’s defensive approach and Asanin’s good saves in goal.
