Fertiberia take a point in Cangas

Fertiberia Balonmano Puerto Sagunto take a point in Cangas after drawing 28–28 with Frigoríficos Morrazo. It was a very even match; at times the home side could have won, but the winning goal was in Nogués’s team’s hands, showing that they can compete in matches against teams in their league after two opening defeats to sides near the top of the table. Nogués’s team leave the relegation zone and move up to 14th, for now outside danger.

Fertiberia play their first final on Saturday

Fertiberia Balonmano Puerto Sagunto will play their first final against Frigoríficos Morrazo on Saturday, from 6.30 pm in Cangas. The red-and-whites need to beat a rival from ‘their league’ to end the poor run with which they have started the season. Two heavy defeats against two European sides have left the Valencian team at the bottom of the table. Nogués will have everyone available except captain David Bruixola, who will miss out with a torn hamstring.

Fertiberia make their home debut against BM Logroño

The Asobal league returns to the Ovni tomorrow, Saturday 14 September, from 18:30. Fertiberia Balonmano Puerto Sagunto will play their first home match since returning to the top tier of Spanish handball. The red-and-whites will once again face an opponent from the upper part of the table: BM Logroño. But this time, the side from La Rioja will not have it easy, as Fertiberia want to erase the impression they made at El Sargal on matchday 1 and will have the support of their tireless fans. Tomorrow, the Ovni will return to the elite, and it is time to celebrate together the achievement secured in June 2019.
