CH Nules hold their first technical development session with Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto

Nearly twenty young players from CH Nules’ academy took part in the first technical development session led by our Sporting Director, Carlos Núñez. The session, held this afternoon at the municipal sports pavilion in the town of La Plana Baixa, was attended by girls and boys from the Cadet and Youth categories. This was the first in a series of sessions forming part of the agreement signed between the two clubs following the creation of Nules Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto B—the port club’s reserve side, based in Nules. These sessions will be held twice a month: one will focus on technical development for Alevín and Infantil players, while the other will be aimed at the Cadet and Youth categories. On this occasion, the programme began with a series of exercises designed to improve individual technique and team tactics. It was led by Carlos Núñez, who, in addition to serving as Sporting Director at Fertiberia Balonmano Puerto Sagunto, coaches the Senior C team in Primera División Autonómica. He has extensive experience and is also a former División de Honor Plata player, the second-highest category in Spanish handball. Both the port club’s Vice-President, Carlos Argente, and the President of CH Nules, Héctor García, agree that activities of this kind are an important part of the relationship between the two clubs. “Within the agreement, it is key to the development of the CH Nules academy,” Argente said. García, for his part, explained that working with the academy coaches of this team, which competes in Liga ASOBAL—the highest level of national handball—represents an important step forward for young players from the Nules academy. “Having coaches with higher-level qualifications (levels 2 and 3), extensive experience in player development, and regular involvement with elite or semi-elite athletes represents an improvement in the training of the children and young people at the Nules academy,” he concluded.
