Fertiberia retain their membership despite relegation

The meeting began with the reading and approval of the previous minutes, approval of the financial matters and, most importantly, the appointment of a new Board of Directors and the members of the Electoral Board, as new elections are to be held because the current term is ending. The meeting was chaired by president Juanjo Bataller, accompanied by Rafa Manzano, the Club Treasurer, and Óscar Berges, acting secretary in the absence of Javi López Espes. The first item discussed was the reading and approval of the previous minutes. They also approved the 2017 accounts and the budget for the 2018/2019 season, totalling 503,000 euros, including the Club's academy. Bataller highlighted that the previous season ended with a significant deficit “because of the efforts made by the club to retain its status, the reduction in the Provincial Council grant and the relative loss of sponsorships. That said, the support of Sagunto Town Council and Fertiberia was key to limiting the damage” As a positive point, the president highlighted that “Despite relegation and keeping season-ticket prices the same as last year, so far we have lost only 63 members. Therefore, we retain more than 90% of our membership, which is a success, and we must thank our supporters and members for it.” Another item at the meeting was the electoral timetable, in accordance with the statutes. Rafa García Marín presented what the electoral timetable would be if elections were held. The electoral timetable includes a call for applications to be submitted from 16 to 21 January at the Club's headquarters. These will then be examined and approved by the Electoral Board from 22 to 25 January. Accepted or rejected applications will be published from 26 to 30 February. Election day, if there is more than one application, would be Saturday 9 February, coinciding with the first team's home match at the Municipal Sports Pavilion, from 10:30 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 19:30. If there is only one application, the new board would be proclaimed on 4 February.
