Fertiberia earn a point in the final minute against Guadalajara

Fertiberia Balonmano earned a point in the final minute of the match after drawing 23–23 with Quabit Guadalara, in a match in which the red-and-whites reduced a three-goal deficit in the closing minutes. The fans returned to the Ovni and drove the team on throughout the match, especially during the final stretch, which was when the team had struggled most in previous games. The red-and-whites were without Carou through injury, while Toni left the match in the 10th minute.

The match began with Fertiberia determined to keep both points at the Ovni. They opened with a 3–0 run, but gradually, and due to errors in attack, Guadalajara turned the score around after the first ten minutes. Bruno and Chen came into the side and the match became level again, with three consecutive goals from the second line. The Guadalajara coach called a timeout, and the visitors moved three goals ahead, going into the dressing room with the scoreboard reading 12–15.

After the interval, the red-and-whites’ attacking errors and Moyano’s saves allowed Guadalajara to extend their lead to five goals. After 20 minutes of the second half, Roney’s saves helped them reduce the deficit to two. In the 29th minute, Nacho Mirallave levelled the match. The ball was in the visitors’ possession; they missed, and the match ended all square.

The next match will be on Tuesday 15 December, away to Bidasoa Irún. On Saturday 19 December, the final match of the year will be played at the Ovni against Villa de Aranda (18:30).
