Fertiberia Balonmano Puerto Sagunto lost 29–30 to a Frigoríficos del Morrazo side that showed they are a well-drilled team even when they do not deserve such a reward.

The match began with Fertiberia looking more switched on than in previous games at the Ovni. Bernatonis's arm and that of an inspired Dukic, together with a compact defence with Alegre marking Garcia, gave the red-and-whites narrow leads. In that dynamic, a few isolated errors were exploited by the Galicians to prevent Fertiberia from pulling away on the scoreboard. 15–14—

The second half began with the Galicians at their best, tightening their defence and placing their attacking tempo in David Garcia's hands. They were also helped by the referees' interpretation of that highly subjective passive-play rule, which the Andalusians kept warning about until they drove the entire arena to distraction, with the exception of the Galicians. Even so, Fertiberia remained just behind in bursts, keeping pace in attack through a monumental Corzo, whom Martí perhaps pushed too hard and paid for at the end. Pocholo was sharp, while on the Galician side the aforementioned Garcia, along with Cerqueira and the tireless Soliño and Muratovic, continued to do their work. As things stood, Fertiberia paid dearly for two key moments. With 24 minutes played, the swords were drawn, 27–29, and Ibrahim Moral began a goalkeeping masterclass, with two missed counter-attacks by Alegre seemingly ending their chances. But the young Valencian goalkeeper had more to give and kept a clean sheet until the strict seven-metre throw that the Andalusian referees Fernandez and Garcia decided to award, 20 seconds from the end with the score at 29–29. Ibrahim's four consecutive saves were not enough to prevent “Grandad” Soliño from scoring the Galicians' 30th goal. The Valencians' final attack brought no reward, with Sladic missing his shot to bring an end to a fiercely contested match in which the Galicians' good work, the controversial decisions of two Ovni regulars in these disputed matters, and even the Galician witches meant that Fertiberia's best performance at the Ovni since September once again went unrewarded.
