Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto’s next match at the Ovni, next Wednesday 10 December at 20:15 against Helvetia Anaitasuna, will once again showcase the Valencian red-and-white club’s charitable spirit.
With the Sagunto Solidarity Food Centre, all supporters attending Fertiberia’s final home match of the year will be able to donate all types of non-perishable food at the stand that the Centre will set up at the entrances to the Ovni.
The Solidarity Food Centre is an association founded through a coordinated initiative by several local NGOs, with the support of the Sagunto Town Council’s Department of Social Services. It aims to meet the basic food needs of families whose income has fallen and who are unable to meet those needs themselves.
The club’s vice-president for Communications, Carlos Argente, says “Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto works with several charitable organisations in the city, and we believe that this initiative with the Solidarity Food Centre, which we began last season, is a great opportunity to show the charitable spirit of our wonderful supporters. We hope that each and every one of our members will attend the match not only eager to see the team win in its final match of the year, but also bringing non-perishable food such as milk, rice, pasta, pulses, baby food or any other product that will certainly help alleviate, at least in part, the serious situation faced by the 527 families supplied by this organisation every day. Nothing is ever enough, but everything helps.”
So, on Wednesday 10 December at 20:15, red-and-white supporters have a combined date with elite handball and solidarity.
