I started at González Gallarza School in Alacuas, where I had a PE teacher, Mr Guillermo, who taught handball to me and many other children. Later, when I was a little older, I moved on to play for C.BM. Alacuas. As a child, what sports did you play, and how did your interest in handball begin? As a child I played all kinds of sports; I liked them all. In the end, I think I chose handball because my brother Migue also played it and, at that time, he signed for F.C. Barcelona, so I tried to follow in his footsteps a little. Have you had idols, players you wanted to emulate? Fortunately, I have been able to share a dressing room with some very great players, from whom I have tried to learn. I have fond memories of all of them, but if I had to name a few, my brother Migue, Kike Andreu and Juan Alemany could not be left out. They helped me grow as a player and, above all, as a person.
