The 2nd School Handball Festival concludes with a great reception
Colegio Nuestra Señora de BegoñaNuestra Señora de Begoña School hosted this afternoon, from 17:30 to 19:00, the 2nd School Handball Festival organised by the red-and-white club during this season of handball revolution in the schools of Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto. The event was attended by the Councillor for Popular Culture and Festivities, José Luis Martí; Sagunto Town Council's general sports coordinator, Manolo Ripollés; the club's vice-president, Juan Ramírez; the school's headteacher, Ana María Martínez; as well as some players from the Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto first team and BM Morvedre, along with members of the red-and-white tide of supporters. For his part, school handball coordinator Carlos Nuñez stated that “The second school handball festival has once again been a success, and next Thursday the 28th at the Ovni we will all get together again to enjoy another day of handball.” More than 100 athletes from 8 of the school handball beginners' groups attended the festival, enjoying an afternoon of handball, fun and friendship. The various teams played several matches against one another under the attentive gaze of parents, grandparents, friends and handball fans. The festival also included the presentation of personalised membership cards for each boy and girl, thanks to the collaboration of the Fontamar plumbing company. With these cards, the youngest fans will be able to attend the matches played by Fertiberia at the Ovni. Meanwhile, Toni Arnau was responsible for enlivening the afternoon with music, while Agustín Giménez provided commentary on the matches using his microphone. It is also worth noting that the parents' association of Nuestra Señora de Begoña School helped by purchasing bottles of water and sweets for all the athletes.
