Valencian representation will remain assured at Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto

The Valencian DNA of the red-and-white squad for the 2016–2017 season is assured. The club is pleased to announce the one-year renewal of its captain, academy graduate Ruben Ruiz Casanova, winger from Alacuás, Javier Tarrasó, Valencia pivot, Ángel Fernández and full-back from Sueca, Alfredo Sorrentino

For Puerto de Sagunto front-line player Rubén Ruiz, this will be his 14th season wearing the red-and-white colours in the first team, since making his Segunda Nacional debut in the 1999–2000 season, apart from two seasons: one his Asobal debut with the now-defunct Vamasa Valencia and another at Vinaroz. The rest have been a sporting journey that explains the recent history of BM Puerto Sagunto. He was promoted to Primera Nacional in the aforementioned 1999–2000 season, to the División de Honor Plata in 2006–2007, and reached the pinnacle with promotion to Asobal in 2008–2009. Of this collection of Valencian veterans represented by Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto, the renewals of goalkeeper David Bruixola, currently away on a personal trip, and Nacho Nebot remain to be settled. Nebot is weighing up whether to focus fully on his professional development or continue playing.

Regarding the departures confirmed, players Sasa Dukic, Ilija Sladic and Seuf Sayad have not been offered continued contracts for technical reasons.
