Nogues finalises his direct collaborators

Following Vicent Sos's decision not to continue in Asobal alongside Vicent Nogues, the Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto manager has already finalised the two people who will accompany him in the technical management of the red-and-white side on its return to the Liga Asobal.

The first-team fitness coach at Fertiberia will be Toni Martínez Antonio Martinez (Puerto Sagunto, 1968) is pure red-and-white DNA. Martinez, a graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, was one of the club's sporting reference points during the 1980s and 1990s. A junior international, he combined playing for the red-and-white first team with membership of the then emblematic Valencian handball side, the legendary Avidesa Alzira.

A professional firefighter, he has worked in various sports as a professional in physical and athletic activity, and in recent times has been collaborating as an official at the Fertiberia academy.

Also joining the Algemesi coach's staff as assistant coach is another Valencian, in this case a legend of the benches in Valencia province. This is Vicent Rosaleny, a symbol of Alcasser and Picasent handball for decades.

After a season away from the benches, 62-year-old NIII coach Vicent Rosaleny could not refuse the call from his colleague and friend Vicent Nogues. Rosaleny thus rounds off a distinguished career in Valencian handball with a deserved place on an Asobal League bench.

Regarding these two additions, Vicent Nogues says: “Vicent Rosaleny was my coach, a great figure in Valencian handball who has had a major influence on the way I see and coach handball. He is someone I trust completely and who will help a great deal with the Asobal project.”

Of Antonio Martinez, Nogues says: “Toni Martinez was one of the people who came close to joining me during my first period at Puerto. He knows every aspect of handball in Puerto Sagunto and has extensive knowledge of physical preparation. I have always felt a strong rapport with him when talking about handball.”

The club welcomes them both and wishes them the very best of luck.
