Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto will open its sixth photography exhibition this Friday, 15 January, at 19:00 at the Puerto Sagunto Civic Centre (Avenida Dr Fleming, no number).

On this occasion, eleven authors, all of them local, will contribute forty works, all related to the world of sport in general, with particular emphasis, naturally, on handball and Fertiberia in particular.

The exhibition, organised by the red-and-white club under the direction of Juan García Guerrero, has the support of Sagunto Town Council, the ARSE Photography Group and professional photographer Juan Higueras.

In addition to the aforementioned García Guerrero and Higueras, the authors taking part in this sixth edition are Antonio Martínez, Begoña Cosín, Enrique Yáñez, Felipe Noguera, Javier García Guerrero, Toni Arnau, David Padilla, Pepa Conesa and Miguel Plá.

The exhibition will remain open until 28 January during the Puerto Sagunto Civic Centre’s visiting hours.

Fertiberia’s Vice-President of Communications, Carlos Argente, states that this is the sixth edition of the exhibition, which demonstrates our commitment to the art of photography. The club has always maintained that sport is another cultural expression and that, as a club representing the city, it is our unavoidable responsibility to build links with other cultural disciplines.” The red-and-white director also says “We would love to continue along this path, taking what we do with the magazine, audiovisual media and photography into other cultural fields. We are open to any organisation that can find a way for us to work together, as we already do with the Fallas festivities and other sports clubs. Music, theatre and dance also have links with the world of sport, and we hope to participate in these initiatives with the city’s cultural organisations that promote them.”

Argente ends by inviting the whole city to enjoy the combination of sport and photography: “These works bring athletes very close to the viewer; their effort, skill and commitment are brought to light through these eleven stars exhibiting in this spectacle, which is well worth visiting.”
