A contribution to Alser Puerto Sagunto’s culture

The 2nd Sports Photography Exhibition organised by Alser Puerto Sagunto was opened this Wednesday.

Councillors Maribel Sáez and Concha Peláez were responsible for opening the 2nd Sports Photography Exhibition, organised by Alser Puerto Sagunto. The exhibition will be on display at the Casa de la Cultura in Puerto Sagunto until 29 July, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The exhibition brings together sports-themed works by seven professional and amateur photographers, who have altruistically contributed 46 photographs of activities such as handball, high jump, cycling, marathon and beach handball.

At the opening ceremony, Alser Puerto Sagunto president Juanjo Bataller stated that “this exhibition is another contribution by the club to the city’s social and cultural activities. An organisation such as ours, with such strong involvement, must embrace new approaches and always support culture in its various fields”.

For her part, Culture Councillor Maribel Sáez stated that “initiatives of this kind are very important and make this dynamic club great.” She also reiterated her department’s commitment to making things easier, “albeit without money, which is in short supply”.

For his part, the club’s Vice-President of Communications, Carlos Argente, says that “initiatives of this kind, together with the recent premiere of a documentary about the club, are the sort of things that make the club active, even though it does not have resources. In this case, the unpaid work of the director responsible, Juan García Guerrero, and the authors Toni Arnau, Felipe Noguera, Antonio Hernández, Begoña Cosin, Juan Palacios and Juan Higueras makes it possible for us to offer free culture to our citizens at no cost.”
